This generator is made by Saunacore out of Ontario Canada. What I like about the Steamcore brand is that it is backed by Saunacore which I have researched for several years with their Infrared Saunas. They are a very honest hardworking company and one of the few in the Infrared Sauna industry. That reputation exceeds them into the steam industry.
Their generators parts exceed most steam generators on my site when it comes to component quality. You’re not going to open up their generators and be surprised in a bad way except the price. The one big difference between SteamCore and other generator brands is that Steamcore is easiest to service. It’s really quite a simple design improvement that they did by making any side of the unit’s frame accessible to a technician by simply unscrewing a panel. Most other generator brands out there use a standard shell without as much accessibility.
The easier access design means less labor hours for a technician to spend and also a much lower chance the unit would ever have to be sent back to the company to be fixed which means no long waiting periods to get a new or refurbished unit back and reinstalled. A lot of time competitor brands even while under warranty you could be paying for shipping costs back and forth to the company. So in the long run SteamCore would be potentially costing less to keep up and running.
This is a great no frills brand with steam quality about 20 points above the next best brand for reference sake. If you really want fancy digital technology with lots of accessories to choose from for your personalized steam bath build out then Steamcore is not the brand to choose. (See my Thermasol page). If you are going for a functionally purchase with equipment that has a lot of longevity at a competitive price then this is a good brand. In the Tier 1 brands I rank this in 1st place with Mr. Steam coming in at my 2nd place as far as non continuous steam generators. Thermasol and Steam Spa are continuous. 50% of the people like one or the other. On my steam quiz I can quickly pick out if someone is going to like the Steamcore better or the Thermasol or SteamSpa better.
If you have any specific questions about steam quality analysis that I have done for this brand simply fill out the questionnaire on my site and I’d be happy to advise you further.

New: Steamcore Spa II SSB Series - FASTEST STEAM - ONLY 3 TO 5 MINUTES
STEAMCORE XTREME SPA 2 SSB Series - NOW CAN BE USED WITH HARD WATER - QUIETEST GENERATOR WE TESTED.
The New Steamcore Spa 2 is the newest steam generator to not have stainless steel but Incoloy heaters. The steam generator is now insulated so the generator is cool to the touch.
Now with Auto Flush and also Auto Rinse - reduces mineral deposits so the steam doesn't have that mineral smell.
Tick-welded boiler - This should never leak. This is the most expensive way to weld the boiler.
This Spa 2 Xtreme has abilities to connect to 3/4", 1/2" or 1/4" connections. The Steamcore Xtreme does not require a water softener or a water filter as the rinse and flush each time gets more away than almost any older generation steam generator. Their boiler tanks are stainless steel so they will never corrode or oxidize. The new generator now has an overheat function. Many brands get returned from this.
MADE IN CANADA - NOT CHINA - FOR THOSE THAT DON'T WANT CHINESE MADE STEAM GENERATORS - Chinese generators are usually don't have all 3 UL, CE, and CSA standards.
SPA II Series SSB Packages: I sell the most of the 9kw and 10kw models. 95% of residential users buy the 9kw and those that want a little extra fluence buy the 10kw model. The new Extreme model has definitely set the standard for all generators that I've reviewed. I can get all their other models and offer reduced prices but the 9kw and 10kw models I get a volume discount on as I meet my volume orders.
The Steamcore SSB series is the most overbuilt steam generator I have ever reviewed. The latest model of theirs has water sensing rods that allow water to enter in but only enough to keep enough water out so that it can heat up in 3 minutes. This new system now competes with the continuous steam models like SteamSpa and Thermasol. I have been waiting for a pulsed steam generator to come up with something since they can't copy the patented technology that Thermasol has or SteamSpa. I also can play music and control it from the steam room while my phone is outside the steam room. The new SteamCore SSB series also
The Steamcore SSB models also don't develop lyme and calcium deposits like the ones that don't have a built in autoflush that
drains it out after each session. The latest Steamcore also should never overheat. So many people complain that mid steam session their steam cut out and won't turn back on and they have to get it fixed and now they can't use it for weeks till they get the replacement part. When this model gets to a certain temperature, it stops and you have to manually reset it and open the steam generator box up.
What the steam from the SSB is like compared to MR. Steam (my next best non-continuous steam type)
The steam from the Steamcore SSB models have super high fluence. I would compare the fluence to Thermasol or SteamSpa. Even though the Steamcore is pulsed, it has the least pulse time especially when I compare it to Mr. Steam. These generators require a 3/4 inch hose, it has super high density steam, nothing like a generator that only requires a half inch hose. Also, the SSB models have 2 steam outlets (the smaller ones have one). Having 2 outlets instead of one that are putting out equal steam will make the steam dryer and cluster size lower. If rushed, I don't like when the particle size of the steam feels heavy. This is the steam that when the generator cuts off very quickly the steam cloud just dissapears. In this type, the steam lingers and is not so heavy with the dual outlets.
Since the Steamcore SSB steam generators have a newer style boiling tank, it can now compete with the continuous generators. They have a split tank technology. 1 boiler but 2 tanks so their is almost no steam pause when the main boiler tank gets emptied. It doesn't have to wait minutes for it to boil again. It takes about 1 to 2 seconds. This new design is totally different than all the other non-continuous steam generators I've reviewed. The steam is so dense and so hot, just what I look for. If you go to their website they are in many hotels and spas around the country. Many higher end gyms have their generators. They have a whole list so if there is a place in your area it can be nice to try one. They probably don't have the SSB serious but their original ones are on the same line as far as my Mr. Steam and Steamist sessions. Those that have came over and tried the 9kw ssb series I used in my tests who have tried the Mr. Steam and Steamist which are my others (2nd and 3rd place) said their was no comparison between the SSB series. When the older model was out, it was in my 3rd place and Mr. Steam was #1.
The dryer hotter steam vapor with less moisture coming out of the Pro 2 and SSB series is more of a steam I would recommend for those who want to have an easier time breathing in the steam room. These have the lowest latent heat and don't heat the room as quickly. The steam stays in the room nearly the entire time. There is a 6 degree variance so there is never a time where you have to wait with little to no steam in the room till it kicks back on again. There is always water in the tank and when 3mm of water is gone it cues more water back in.
Those that have sore muscles from lactic acid producing workouts will appreciate this hotter dryer steam. With the dryer steam, especially if the steam room has more than 1 sitting level, the steam near the ceiling gets super hot and the dryness helps so it doesn’t burn my noise like the wetter types that feel like its boiling my nostrils. With the Steamcore models, I get the benefits of my session in 10 minutes and don’t really need to stay in longer. I don’t like steam rooms that I can stay in longer and my heart rate has not gone up to 150 beats a minute. Most people undersize and always get a mild steam and never intense enough. With dry steam, a little goes a long way. With wet steam, too much heat can be dangerous for some people. There are some people that call me up and want to “enjoy” their steam room and stay in 20 to 30 minutes. They want to read their newspaper in there, socialize, etc. On my quiz, let me know if you are the type that wants to stay in there for 10 minutes or have really long steam sessions. Those that want a wetter steam with more moisture in room should look at steam generators with a different psi that have a lower dew point. These will heat up the room quicker but I will experience less steam and just more down time when the steam is not coming out and the room is hot from the steam that just stopped steaming.
Steamcore steam has a low latent heat due to the pressure of its boiling tank and low density low wattage heating elements. I do not like steam rooms that have high wattage heaters. This can make really wet steam.
Steamcore has the highest dew point of any steam generator I have tested creating the driest steam I have ever felt. I really like how the steam stays on most of the time. I don't like waiting for steam when the room is still hot and there is no steam.
These are the prices for the SSB Series models. For those that can't afford the price the Spa 2 series below are my second best steam generators I have compared. Or, call me and I have brand new scratch and dents or returns from people that either want a more intense steam or milder steam. These are from people that bought from other dealers who don't want to pay their huge restocking fees and double shipping fees. It is usually best to get a brand new one that is a scratch and dent as they will be around the same price. Ask for Jake at 1-877-310-8385 to see what is available at the scratch and dent discount.
The Steamcore Pro series is the one with the 11 foot heaters (the Spa 2 series has 2 two foot heater in their 9kw model. The Pro has 3 3000W heaters and are 11 feet long and have more surface areas vaporizing the steam. The Pro starts in the 9kw size and gives the most vaporized steam I have ever experienced. It is the closest to being in a sweat lodge where all the water gets vaporized. The Spa 2 series with its open tank is still dryer than any pressurized steam tank. When water comes out of the steam head and has not been 100% vaporized it is moisture that makes the steam quality lower. Many people buy the wrong size and return it to get the right size. I urge people to contact me before choosing their final size. I discount the returns that people bought that were one size too big or one size too small. Ask for Jake at 1-877-310-8385 to see what is available..
This is the Steamcore 9kw Pro steam generator.
It is the most expensive 9kw starting size generator that has the three 11 foot heaters. Most 9kw generators that have pressurized boilers with two 2 foot heater have steam that is totally different than this type with way more surface area vaporizing the steam. The 9kw pro version is about 15 pounds heavier than the average 9kw versions. Heaters in the pro versions should last 20 years before servicing in a residential setting. The average steam residential grade steam generator should last about 10 years.
Ask about my demos and scratch and dent Pro series steam generators from people that have bought the wrong size and size up or size down after realizing they bought the wrong size. These will be heavily discounted
Things to consider:
1. How fast the steam disappears. The dry steam will linger much longer as it is much lighter. Imagine taking a spray bottle and spraying water into the air. That will make the steam more wet and humid. This is the type of steam that I try to avoid. The heating elements that have more surface area touching the steam and the wattage is spread out over more heating element the dryer the steam it should be.
Note: There are 2 way to heat up a person's core temperature in a sauna. One is having too much latent heat and it heats up the room and walls. The room is almost hot as a sauna even when the steam has all disappeared. The other is from dryer heat that has low moisture and the walls aren't as hot and the vapor in the room heats the person, not just latent heat. The driest steam comes from open boiler tanks, not closed pressured water tanks that release all the steam in one load. This type usually has a 50 50 duty cycle meaning that it is on half the time and off half the time. This is one of the biggest complaints on these types of generators.
2. Temperature variance: Some generators make the room super hot to the point where it burns my nose to breath in the steam and then the steam disappears and the steam generator kicks back on when the boiler is ready to dump. The Thermasol has a continuous steam with 2 boilers (a small and large one) so it always can produce steam. The type that has a 6 degree variance is from the open boilers and has the driest steam. Too wet of steam does not feel good and feels muggy as it has less vapor and more water moisture.
The pressurized type based on every room I have ever tested has more drippiness from the ceiling. This is another reason why getting the right size generator helps so the room does not get to 100% steam and then the steam clumps into moisture since there is no where for the extra steam to go. With dry steam, there is less to worry about since there is less moisture to start with.
People ask me all the time what is wet steam and what is dry steam. Imagine pouring water on a rock sauna. That is super dry steam. Imagine boiling a large pot of water for some pasta. That steam is super wet. The latest steam generators allow just enough water to enter the boiling chamber to become steam and it is digitally controlled. This type is the latest type that has the 6 degree variance.
3. How to get the driest steam.
Having a non pressurized open tank is the most important thing I look for if I want dry steam but to take it to the next level it can be very expensive. The best selling size is the 9kw and 10.5kw for most homes. 90% of all people coming to my site buy this size.
Comparing two generators that have the same wattage. This is how I tell the difference.
Most steam generators have 2 to 3 two foot heaters curled up in the boiler. A 9 kw steam generator can have 3 heaters that are 3000 watts each or it can have two 4500 watt heaters and or it can have one 9000 kw heater.
The generators that have more heaters with more surface area and less wattage per heater should make the driest heat.
For those that want to experience the driest steam I have found in all the steam generators I've reviewed are the ones that have 11 foot heaters curled up instead of the 2 foot heaters. The average 10.5 kw generator has 2 two foot heaters. The top end models have three 11 foot heaters. The driest steam generator at the lowest size comes in 9kw if someone wants to get three 11 foot heaters and have an open boiler.
Dryness ratio: This is the biggest concern I get. Those who want a steam generator that gets really hot then cools down then gets hot then cools down may want the pressurized boiler types. These are the original type. Many people do not like having to wait for the steam to kick back on each time and want a more continuous steam. This is when many people like the Thermasol or the Steamcore. These 2 are very different. One brand has dual boilers, a large main one and a smaller one so their is continuous steam. This is a pressurized type too kinda like a pressure cooker in the kitchen. The Steamcore is different than the Mr. Steam and the Thermasol as it is an open tank. It lets just enough water to come in when there is a 6 degree variance. This makes the driest steam and is similar to what people can experience in a sweat lodge.
Example of wet steam: Boiling a pot of water for pasta and breathing in the steam coming off. That is steam that is very damp and not 100% vapor
Dry steam: Taking that same pot and pouring all the water out and heating it up. If the pot is dry and it is put into the sink and you put just a little water into it, you can see the water evaporate in front of your eyes. That is dry steam, 100% evaporated. Pressurized tanks similar to a pressure cooker dump all the steam at once. Open tanks are the type that give the most vapor and less moisture.
For those who don't quite understand wet steam, if I go in a steam room with an open steam tank that has the 11 foot heaters and I take a water bottle and start spraying, it will eventually become humid and the steam will become wet steam and clump together. When a generator dumps the steam before it is all vaporized when the steam room temperature goes down, the boiled steam is not ready to release but releases anyway since the sensor told it to. These steam rooms are the drippy type where their is way too much dripping from the ceiling and the room is hot but with less steam vapor.
Note: There is nothing wrong with the single boiler type like the Mr. Steam or the double boiler continuous type like Thermasol. The latest generation open tank types with digital timed water is the only type I found to give consistent dry steam the entire time. Those who buy the first two types that have the need to splash water on the sensor will only trip the sensor and let out the steam before it is ready to go out and all this does is give out even wetter steam that has not evaporated yet into vapor.
Drippy steam - this is another complaint. The wet steam types usually cut of the steam and there is a long enough window for all the steam to go away. The open tank gives the closest to the 100% vapor and the low drippiness is due to the low latent heat index rating of that generator. If the room heats up too quick it has a higher rating. If there is less moisture and more vapor the room can hold more steam.
Surface area of heaters: It is out of most people’s budget but the steam generators that have larger heating elements have more surface area. Most models have two 2 1/2 foot heaters and some have three 11-foot heaters. A 9kw generator that has 3 3000W heaters that are 11 foot long versus the same 9kw model that has 2 4500W heaters that are only 2 foot in length close the gap between nearly 100% dry and the next noticeable difference. This is comparing only the open tank types.

Final notes on Steamcore Generators
The Steamcore is the one that it is hard to recommend for most people that are looking for pressurized steam or who don’t do research and understand what wet steam is, how pressurized steam is not right for every room. The Saunacore steam generators were the first to introduce the open tank generators. The boiling tanks are less than half the size of the same kilowatt size in competitor brands. The holding tank gives little shots of water, about 2 ounces, at a time as the water level drops so the water never mixes with cold water that cools down the boiling water enough to give a wait time more than 6 degrees in temperature change.
The Saunacore because of its electronic water level sensor gives the least wait time between steam times.
The Saunacore steam generators take 2 to 3 minutes to produce steam. I urge people to understand humid steam before getting excited about brands that take only 1 minute to make steam found in the pressurized steam generators. Using a very small tank and boiling a very small amount of water each time at a more continuous rate gives a very dry steam that I have no problem waiting 2 more minutes for. A 9kw Steamcore boiling tank holds about 1/2 a liter of water. The 9kw pressure tanks are normally twice the size.
The Steamcore tanks are surgical steel. These do no need to be replaced frequently like the cast iron tanks found on many brands and is a step up above the stainless steel USA models. The heating elements are also 304 grade surgical steel. (Cast ironsteam generator tanks will deteriorate over time and give off heavy metals in the steam).
Surgical steel is the hardest steel and least likely to get limescale which they have. Also, their open tank flushes 100% of the water so there is not that ounce of water sitting in the bottom like the pressure cooker types. They have a double flush that flushes the tank twice with cold water that takes about 10 minutes. You don’t need to add mineral solution every 60 days to do a maintenance cleaning and they come with it so you don’t have to pay extra for it. Also, the Saunacores don’t require a drip pan on the first floor so you don’t have to dump the pan all the time. No plastic valves so it is very hard for it to break unless if you need a pressure reducer and don’t have one that would be the only reason I know of that causes leaks.
Feature of the cleansing system: The Steamcore has a high end cleaning system which reduces the limescale after every session. The self cleaning mode lasts or 10 minutes. It will drain then fill and then drain and then fill a 2nd time then stay empty till the next.
Another feature the Steamcore has that the closed tanks don’t have is a separate water level controller, not just water sensors. It is a separate tanks that makes it possible to keep the steam in the main boiler dry otherwise it would just be boiling a big pot of water like the single pressure cooker type steam generators
Steamcore surgical steel generators must be talked about which are a totally different breed of steam generators when comparing to closed tanks like Mr. Steam or Thermasol. I am going to go in detail why the Steamcore is the best money can buy although much more expensive what you are actually getting just incase those looking for an average priced steam generator get sticker shock.
Steamcore has an open tank and works at 1ATA and does not use pressure to make steam. It makes a continuous steam like Thermasol but works with 1 open tank instead of 2 closed tanks.
Every Steamcore generator has 304 grade surgical steel heating elements and 304 grade surgical steel boiling tanks. The Steamcore uses an open tank an their tanks are very small so it heat up and vaporizes water super fast and has the highest dryness fraction of every steam I have ever experienced. Since they use a boiling tanks that is very tiny it has a fraction of un-evaporated that a pressurized tank gives (Mr. Steam tanks that I have compared at the same kilowatt size are almost twice the size). Most single tanks let out all the steam weather the steam is 100% vaporized or not.
Steamcore should never limescale as surgical steel elements are the hardest steel and calcium and iron deposits just don't stick to it like the stainless steel or cast iron tanks. The worst are heating elements that have galvanized steel. These have to be replaced all the time. Steamcore should only need it's elements replaced once every 25 years. The inside of the heating element that is filled with baking soda typically last 25 years. It's the scaling that corrodes the heaters on non surgical steel types.
Dry Vapor from Steamcore:
The best way to describe the open tank vapor making steam without pressure is taking a very hot pan from the stove and putting it in the sink and pouring just a little water in the pan and watching 100% of the water evaporate. The steam from a pressure cooker, the best example I can use is just sticking my face over the boiling pasta water and feeling the wet steam hit my face.
Best way to describe their Dry Steam
The cloud when you open the door in the Steamcore is a cloud that lingers. The wet type cloud just drops to the floor and doesn’t linger. Also watch what happens when I make it wet by spraying water making it wet and how the cloud doesn't linger. I cannot enjoy wet steam from most single tank generators.
I can enjoy the steam much longer if I want to go over 15 minutes in a Steamcore as it doesn't cause my heartbeat to get too fast. Wet steam causes my heart rate to reach 150 bpm much quicker. I use a pulse oximeter that anyone can get on Amazon for 10 dollars and that will tell you how fast your heart rate. I always check after 15 minutes. A quality drier steam will not cause your heart rate to get too fast too quick.
The Steamcore has a 6 degree variance so it keeps my heart rate much more steady than the pressure cooker types that get super hot where it burns my nose just to take a deep breath. I do not like steam with a high latent heat index and don't think most people will either if they experience wet and dry steam.
The Steamcore starts up in about 3 minutes. Those that are looking for 1 minute steam will have steam start but this will be a very humid steam. Most people don't know what they are sacrificing for quick steam. I would rather wait 10 to 15 minutes for dense dry steam than steam that takes less than 5 minutes to steam up to 100% humidity and sacrifice quality for quickness.
Note: for those that are comparing Thermasol to Steamcore, they are both great but different. There is another brand called SteamSpa (from China). Read my page on low pressure steam generators and make your decision based off your research. That is all I will say about that brand.
All the best manufacturers will tell you the lower the watt density the better the steam. Steamcore has the lowest watt density of any heater I have found. The also have a pro version that has 11 foot heaters instead of 2.5 foot heaters starting at 9KW. They have three 3000W heaters totaling 33 feet of heater compared to the two 4500W heaters that are 2.5 feet long. 33 feet of Surgical steel heating elements will have much more surface area than 5 feet. Those that are using their steam room or keeping it on all day will usually want the pro version. It's meant for all day use.

Picture of a 2.5 foot Chinese import heater -
Cheap and gets limescaled quickly
11 foot handmade heating element - surgical steel (304 grade) - ultra ultra low watt density
Steamcore surgical steel tanks are hand made (TIG Weld) and toxin-free. These are the hardest steel elements you can get. Exceptional heat conduction. Made with no solvents and in a chemical free weld shop.
For those that have sore muscles or are using the steam room for pain, a drier steam should let most people stay in longer so they feel the heat but doesn't heat your core too quickly and your pulse rate goes up and you can't make it for a long session. There are a few hacks to staying in longer. I do EWOT during my steam. I have a 20 foot hose and run it into the steam room so my oxygen level doesn't get low.
Picture of oxygen cannula that I hook up to my oxygen concentrator. I turn it on very low as I am am not combusting oxygen. If I am not burning it and my core temp is not high enough then I do not use it. I don't use it the entire time. I turn it up higher if I am doing EWOT.
STEAMCORE QUESTIONS AND ANSWERS
Where can I try the Steamcore brand?
A. Just like I did, go on on their site. They have a list of all the spas and hotels and gyms around the country that have their steam generators. Their site is Saunacore.com. Go to the steam section.
They are more expensive than what I was expecting to pay (I hear this all the time).
A. Get a demo or buy a return from someone who bought the wrong size. We get discounts on them. Also, these are hand welded in Canada and if we are having a sale we get a discount if we send in more than 6 orders at a time.
What is your next best one?
A. Well, there is no best but if someone wants a super high end pressurized type, Thermasol is my 2nd pick if someone wants steam from a pressurized steam generator. I personally don't like pressurized steam. It makes steam super quick so there are advantages that may people like about the Thermasol.
Do you sell used Steamcore generators?
A. Yes, but we get them shipped back to the manufacturer and they become certified used. This is only when someone bought the wrong size from another company and the manufacturer gets one back. I love selling these as these are often the only ones people can afford.
Is the Steamcore loud?
A. What do you think? It is not from a pressure tank. I urge people to go a step further and use 1 inch piping, even though 3/4 is suitable for most people.
What is the warranty?
A. Steam core has a 5 year warranty. The ones that have a lifetime warranty only fix it once during the lifetimes then their is no warranty on that part. If something goes wrong it happens the first month or two.
What size do I need?
A. Most sizing charts are designed for pressurized steam generators. So, if you were told you need a 9KW in the pressurized brand, you might only need a 7.5KW in an open tank non-pressurized generator. Then, if you want to upsize to make it more intense then that is a personal preference. This will create a higher latent heat index and the duty cycles of steam will be shorter since more steam is filling up the room at once.
When do you not recommend Steamcore?
A. The pressure types have a 50 50 duty cycle in a perfect scenario. Meaning it is on half the time and off half the time. I don’t like being in a room where there is just heat and no steam. Those that want to get really hot and then cool down during each duty cycle may want a pressurized single tank type generator. I can get those too but rarely recommend them.
I have cold feet. Will the Steamcore heat the entire room?
A. Wet steam separates more so when you are in there your lower body and feet stay colder while the heat rises to the top from the high latent heat index. Dry steam is more uniform and doesn’t form droplets and clump together as fast as their is less humidity mixed with the vapor. So, their steam will be more uniform. Getting a marine grade fan should make it super uniform so the entire room is at the same temperature, even your feet if the fan is powerful enough. It costs about 40 dollars to build it out with the pic pipes from Home Depot. One of my customers will be glad to show you how to do it. He is an engineer. He also made a shower that has a pump that keeps pumping and recycling the bath water to the shower so you don't waste any water until you want to switch to the faucet.
LED MOOD LIGHT BY STEAMCORE
Their mood light has a transformer built in so you don't have to buy anything else to run it.
It has a motherboard and a low voltage transformer and is moisture resistant. Most LED lights do not come with a transformer and motherboard. I have never had to replace a marine grade Steamcore moonlight.
The Spa 2 series has 304 surgical steel elements and boiling tanks. Drip pans are not necessary on the first floor. Please make sure you get the pressure reducer at Home Depot and 3/4 inch piping. Get 1 inch piping for super quietness. Experience super dry steam!
Discounts on Steamcore: Many people cannot afford the Steamcore as it is one of the most expensive steam generators. We offer discounts on returns when people buy the the wrong size. The reason most people return their generator is because one company, for example on their sizing chart say their 6kw will work up to 84 cubic feet. while Steamcore says theirs will work up to 175 cubic feet. This is what I am referring to by wetness of steam. If one puts out 2 gallons and the other puts out 1.5 gallons, the other half gallon can be the difference in the condensate. The more condensate or unevaporated water spit out mixed with the steam, the wetter it will be and the heavier it will cause the steam so it falls to the floor quicker.
Video: In this videos it is spitting lots of water out at once.
When there is too much pressure and over time, this is what happens.
Most generators people buy have low psi valves to they can last a long time. I do not like these types. They release lots of water, usually and extra half gallon in a steam session.
The Steamcore does not use pressure like this. Their 6 kw models can be used in up to a 175 cubic foot room while another brand we have compared (see picture below) goes up to an 84 cubic foot room.
So, the Steamcore uses very little water compared to every other generator we compared. You can see how the Thermasol 6000 watt models can handle up to 84 cubic feet while the Steamcore with the same 6000 watts can work with up to a 175 cubic foot room. I urge people to compare the differences in the pressurized vs non pressure cooker type steam generators. Please take my sizing quiz (after your take my main steam quiz) Link is at the top of the page. You can see how most people buy the wrong size generator.
STEAMCORE REVIEW
The Saunacore steam generators take around 2 to 3 minutes to produce steam.
Also, the Saunacores don’t require a drip pan so you don’t have to dump the pan all the time.
It is a separate tanks that makes it possible to keep the steam in the main boiler dry otherwise it would just be boiling a big pot of water like the single pressure cooker type steam generators.
As far as the driest steam, it also uses about 1.5 gallons of water in a 30 min session while wetter types use about 2 gallons. That extra half gallon of water usually stays as condensate and never evaporates to steam in most low psi pressurized steam generators. The Steamcore is more of a slow burn steam generator. It produces the same grams of steam over a longer period of time (continuous up to 6 degrees) while most pressurized models dump the steam fast and release more grams of steam per second. This creates the duty cycle where it gets hot too quick and the you have to wait a few minutes with a hot room with little steam till it kicks on again

If interested in a steam generator, please take our Steam quiz and Sizing quiz. You do not want to get a steam generator and have the wrong size. Most sizing charts do not figure in the ceiling height but just the overall cubic feet. Most also don't consider the type of steam. Wetter steam and latent heat can stay near the ceiling while the legs and feet are much cooler. Take the Steam Quiz here.

For for Steamcore Spa 2 series: SS3 controller
The older model was continuous within 6 degrees. The 3rd generator Steamcore Spa 2 controller can keep the steam constant within 1 degree if it goes over the set temperature and if it goes below 2 degrees it will turn back on again.
If set the TEMP to 100°F, it will stop heating if the ambient TEMP is more than 101°F. (quote from Steamcore Spa 2 manual)
